Thank you the amazing leadership!

2011 Inspirations:

  • Tom LeSavage - December, 2011. Tom LeSavage, the BEAN @ Seattle's VP of Service, has been a committed BEAN volunteer for over a year. When he moved to Seattle not long ago, he started coming to BEAN events and quickly established himself as a stellar new member. He stepped up as VP in the late summer and immediately started working seamlessly with the service team in arranging varied and fun volunteer events for the Seattle chapter, including benefit auctions and kiddie educational events. Thanks for all your hard work, Tom!
  • Nicola Haffenden - November, 2011. Nicola met the BEAN @ Shanghai crew at the November 2010 fundraiser for the Jiaozhou Lu tragedy (a building in the center of Shanghai burned down and made international headlines) and joined the team as an officer in January 2011. Since then, she's done everything from helped organize a Big Lebowski-themed bowling tournament, launched a reading and arts program at a migrant community center, mentored new leaders, and led training programs. She has a multitude of talents, but her greatest asset is her friendly smile that lights up the room. People enjoy being around Nicola, as she's quick to crack a joke or reach out to a newcomer to help them become more involved.
  • Michelle Kang - October, 2011. Michelle joined BEAN Seoul soon after completing her studies in the UK, and got involved immediately. After an orphanage visit, she took it upon herself to contact BEAN Seoul leadership about her intentions to set up and lead additional volunteering events. Michelle now leads up a bi-monthly event, in which BEAN Seoul volunteers ride tandem bikes with the visually handicapped. It is due to members and leaders such as Michelle that BEAN Seoul is able to grow and not only offer members more chances to volunteer, but also give back to the people in the communities we live in.
  • Bianca Abate - September, 2011. Bianca has been an amazing creative force for the BEAN HQ leadership team and all of the BEAN chapters around the globe. She has worked tirelessly to better communicate what BEAN represents to the world through brand redesign, mission positioning and even hosting BEANCast, our video podcast about BEAN related news. She helps form a strong foundation for BEAN to grow and posper.
  • Isabelle Che - August, 2011. Isabelle is new to the BEAN @ Seattle leadership team but she has already stood out with her creative approaches to marketing and event pieces. She's quick with ideas and eager to help BEAN shine with a distinct design appeal. She's also a cheerful and friendly face at BEAN Seattle events! Her passion and out-of-box thinking will help BEAN @ Seattle stand out amongst the crowded media landscape full of groups and events that are looking to grab the attention of busy young professionals.
  • Vion (WeiWei) Sun - July, 2011. Vion currently focuses on event planning for BEAN @ Beijing. As a relatively new organization in Bejing, where large international charities and nonprofits are often based in, Vion worked hard to build relationship with local charities and venues who are constantly inundated with request for partnership from many organizations. Vion persevered in this often challenging environment to organize and promote now popular events for local young professionals for BEAN. Without the self-motivation and creativity of leaders like Vion, the chapter would able to achieve its ambition goals for growth and impact.
  • Lystia Putranto - June, 2011. Lystia is currently the VP Marketing and Membership for BEAN @ Shanghai. One of the founding members of BEAN @ Shanghai, Lystia has pitched in and helped wherever needed, whether it be by helping organize large-scale anniversary parties, running volunteer events, never missing a newsletter in two years, or being a shoulder to lean on for the officer team. Lystia's dedication, sense of fun and play, and willingness to do what it takes, no matter how unglamorous or behind-the-scenes, make her an inspiration for the entire BEAN @ Shanghai officer team.
  • Rebecca Griffeth - May, 2011. Rebecca has been a solid asset to BEAN @ Greenville's social and volunteer events planning.  She has capitalized on her experience with community programs and her background in service organizations to help make BEAN's presence in Greenville known quickly and continues to offer great ideas on how we can continue to grow and make a positive impact.  Becca has taken a leadership role and has been been instrumental in the immediate success of the group!  Thank you for working hard to make the Green BEANs all that they can be and more
  • Lindsay Kemp - April, 2011. Lindsay has been instrumental to BEAN @ San Francisco's vibrant volunteering offerings.
